Police were forced to intervene in the Italian port city of Brindisi on Friday after pro-Palestinian demonstrators protested the arrival of the cruise ship Crown Iris, which was carrying Israeli passengers, according to Italian media and social media footage.

In a video recorded by Riccardo Celli and published by La Repubblica, a group described as Israeli tourists can be seen giving the Roman salute, shouting insults, and making a throat-slitting gesture.
The Jerusalem Post was unable to verify the group’s identity.
Additional videos posted later in the day show further confrontations. In one recording, a woman reported to be Israeli responds to chants of “Free Palestine” with profanity and threats, though the events leading up to the exchange are not shown.
The footage then cuts to her telling the demonstrators that homosexuality is not accepted in Gaza before spitting toward the group and issuing further threats. One protester can be heard replying: “You kill children.”
