Daniella Pick opens up about life in Tel Aviv with Quentin Tarantino

In a Channel 12 interview, actress and singer Daniella Pick spoke openly about life in Tel Aviv with Quentin Tarantino, their family, and how they lived through the war.

She said Tarantino never considered returning to Hollywood, even when rockets were falling on the city. Often he would not even go to the shelter unless she insisted. “If something happens, I’ll die as a Zionist,” he joked.

The couple live in north Tel Aviv with their two children. Pick stressed that despite earlier reports about a possible theater project in London, the family has no intention of leaving Israel. Tarantino is studying Hebrew, spends much time with the children, cycles through the neighborhood, and enjoys evenings with friends. Because he reacts loudly to films, they have a dedicated screening room with a heavy door.

Pick recalled their first meeting in 2009 during the promotion of Inglourious Basterds. They were immediately drawn to each other and married seven years ago.

She described her new role in The Perfect Gamble, her first major Hollywood appearance. Tarantino helped her prepare, recording lines on her phone so she could rehearse while doing chores. She is also acting in Danny A. Abeckaser’s new film and returning to music.

The most emotional moment came when she spoke about the death of her father, Israeli pop icon Zvika Pick. She said she still cannot talk about it without crying but wants his music to remain alive.

Pick also shared domestic details: Tarantino loves extremely spicy food, and she has to drink water after each tasting until it meets his standard. He once doubted he would ever have a family, she said, but now feels fulfilled both as a filmmaker and a father. Pick added that after years devoted to children and home, she now feels harmony and is ready to grow professionally while having a strong family foundation behind her.
